Description
This slow cooker chicken teriyaki makes for the perfect freezer meal that you can dump and go in your crockpot. Simply add all ingredients in a ziploc bag and freeze until you’re ready! It will come out tender and flavorful.
Scale
Ingredients
- 2 lbs boneless skinless chicken breasts
- 1/4 cup honey
- 1/2 cup low sodium soy sauce
- 3 tsp sesame oil
- 1.5 tbsp rice vinegar
- 1/3 cup cold water
- 3 tsp minced garlic
- 2 tsp of minced ginger
- 3 tbsp brown sugar
- 2 tbsp corn starch
- 2 tbsp sesame seeds
- 2 tbsp sliced green onions
Instructions
- Cut chicken into chunks and add to a gallon Ziploc bag.
- Add all ingredients except for the corn starch into the bag and mix.
- Take 2 tbsp of the marinade and mix with 2 tbsp of cornstarch. (You can skip this step if you want, but the cornstarch makes the sauce thick)
- Add cornstarch slurry to the bag and mix again.
- Flatten the bag and get rid of all the air. Freeze until you’re ready to cook!
- Dump the meal directly into the slow cooker, or thaw in the fridge the day before.
- Serve over rice and enjoy!
Notes
- You can skip the cornstarch if you don’t mind thinner sauce.
- Green onions go great with this meal.
- Add any vegetables to the bag for a more well-rounded meal.
