My crockpot chicken, potatoes, and green beans rec My crockpot chicken, potatoes, and green beans recipe is up on the blog! Link in bio. Don't forget to pin it for later, too. If you're looking for an easy dump meal, this is it. You don't have to come home and make any sides or rice. I love how customizable this recipe is, too. Simply adding different sauces and seasonings can keep the leftovers interesting for a few days after.

Have you tried this hack? It works pretty well! My Have you tried this hack? It works pretty well! My kids are picky and turn their noses up at brown apples sometimes lol. What methods have you tried to make your produce last longer? Food waste is the bane of my existance. 🙃

This is your sign to give your kid a blank sheet o This is your sign to give your kid a blank sheet of paper and markers (or a chalkboard and chalk) and ask them to draw something, instead of a coloring book.🤩 It gives them the creative freedom to really create something and feel confident in what they lay down without being constricted by outlines.

I think this is perhaps the first picture of our family that Marshall has drawn. He's definitely of the age to be drawing people, he just personally isn't really into art all that much, so it took me taking the initiative to ask him to draw our family for him to do it. And guess what? He loved it, and we got some very easy, much needed one-on-one time😍

I love meal prepping. I enjoy the process of spend I love meal prepping. I enjoy the process of spending all day cooking at a nice, slow and steady pace. I love the way the house smells like a bunch of different amazing foods. Cooking in general is relaxing and gives me the chance to focus in and keep my hands busy.

These days it connects me back to my home. I don't really miss my stay-at-home days, because they're long and lonely. But I do miss the slowness and the ability to make my own schedule each day. I often cooked dinner before 3pm, that way I could relax with the kids in the evening instead of scrambling to wash dinner dishes and get bellies full.

That's not really an option anymore now. I now either have to meal prep, make dinner in the morning in the crockpot, or throw together a meal in under 30 minutes while exhausted. These days are hard too, just a different kind of hard.

Cooking always remains a nice, consistent thing that I can always count on to ground me, though.

P.S. - any other parents whose kids just refuse to really do mealtime right now, join me on the dark side, and consider meal prepping for yourself, and making them "grazing plates." (Yet another reason I often fed them early. It takes hours of coming back to pick at their plate to get satisfied. They really can't stand having to sit and eat a full meal when they're told).
Our butterflies came out of their chrysalises!🦋 Our butterflies came out of their chrysalises!🦋 Their little faces say it all.

Creating this bug unit has been really fun. We have never spent this long learning about the same topic. There are so many rabbit holes we've gone down. Learning with them is such a joy✨
