I know it’s such a Hallmark holiday, but I get giddy around Valentine’s Day. I mean, how could you not with all of the chocolate boxes and bottles of red wine floating around? I’ll sign the petition to make it a monthly Valentine’s Day!
While normally I’d be all over the molten lava cakes, surprise heart cupcakes or even chocolate cupcakes with pink frosting, this year we’re taking it easy without loosing the love (or the chocolate). Puppy chow is one of the easiest dessert-like snack foods I’ve ever made and this one is even more delicious with the Nutella strewn throughout.
Better yet, this dessert will keep for days and you can enjoy bits of Nutella chocolate goodness the whole week long!

Nutella Love Puppy Chow
Ingredients
Method
- Place the Chex cereal in a large bowl and set aside.
- In a microwave-safe bowl, combine the Nutella, peanut butter, and butter. Microwave in 30-second intervals, stirring between each, until melted and smooth.
- Stir in the vanilla extract.
- Pour the Nutella mixture over the cereal and gently stir until all pieces are evenly coated.
- Transfer the coated cereal to a large zip-top bag or a container with a lid. Add the powdered sugar, seal, and shake until well coated.
- Spread the puppy chow on a baking sheet to cool and set. Store in an airtight container.
