Telescope Craft for Preschoolers (Toilet Paper Roll Craft)

Nothing says space theme quite like a telescope craft! Your preschooler will love using their telescope all throughout their unit study, while exploring artistic expression and dramatic play.

I’m always on the hunt for new toilet paper roll crafts and activities for my kids. I’m not the most eco-friendly person in the world, but I do try. At the very least, I strive to get more than one use out of things.

While this might not be the most involved telescope in the world, it’s perfect for preschoolers. Plus, it wasn’t a craft that I wanted to police or guide my son too much on. I told him we were going to make a telescope for our moon journal study, and handed him some paint, glitter, glue, and a toilet paper roll.

Done, and done!

It was everything I could have hoped for in a preschool space craft!
