I can remember growing up and going to Ye Old Fashioned Ice Cream in Charleston, SC after a long day playing outside or on the boat. We’d grab a giant banana split (kids pick the ice cream!) and the whole family would share it.
Don’t even ask me how many calories were in it, especially with the crazy flavors we ordered with it! We actually went again last year as a larger family (with Liam!) and ordered THREE banana splits (for 8 people).
The split that my husband and I shared was crazy. I was in charge and I made it a chocolaty banana split, complete with three types of chocolate ice creams (moose tracks, chocolate peanut butter, and snickers), then topped with chocolate fudge, peanut butter fudge and marshmallow fudge. Woah momma!
In light of the end of summer, I figured it was time to make a banana split of my own…popsicle style! The beauty is it’s for one person and it’s relatively healthy. No sharing! Tada!
You’re welcome. Enjoy!

Banana Split Popsicle for One
Ingredients
Method
- In a small jar on a powerful blender like the Blendtec, I used the twister jar, purée the banana until it becomes a soft serve.
- Gently scoop into your popsicle mold down one side. Place in the freezer angled on its side while you purée the strawberries.
- Rinse your blender jar out and purée the strawberries just like you did the bananas.
- Gently pack down the strawberry purée on the opposite side of your popsicle mold. Freeze for at least 1 hour or until frozen.
- Take your popsicle out of the freezer while you prepare the toppings.
- In a small microwavable bowl, melt the dark chocolate chips for 15 seconds at a time until melted, stirring in between.
- Dip or drizzle the popsicle with the chocolate. Immediately sprinkle with the peanuts and sprinkles.
- Enjoy immediately or wrap in plastic and freeze for later.
